ASIANINVESTOR NAMES STATE STREET TOP TRANSITION MANAGER IN REGION
Cites Global Trading Capabilities, Liquidity Access
Hong Kong, 27 October 2009 – State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT), one of the world’s
leading providers of financial services to institutional investors, announced today that it has been named by AsianInvestor magazine as the region’s top transition manager.
In its 2009 Service Provider Awards, AsianInvestor recognized State Street for helping
transition management customers successfully navigate the past year’s market upheaval. “With its global trading capabilities, liquidity access, and fiduciary responsibility operating model, State Street demonstrated clear leadership in transition management,” the editors stated.
State Street pioneered the transition management process more than two decades ago. It
established its first Asia-Pacific team in 1998, and today has transition management teams in Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.
“This recognition from AsianInvestor reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the
localized needs of Asia-Pacific investors,” said Justin Balogh, senior managing director in Asia- Pacific for State Street Global Markets. “In the turbulent market conditions of the past year, our transition management team assisted Asian institutional investors in providing both portfolio allocation and advisory research, alongside a set of rebalancing and transactional products designed to preserve portfolio value, minimize cost and mitigate risk.”
The AsianInvestor awards were presented at a gala dinner event in Hong Kong earlier this
month.
